Spring I

April 8, 2019April 8, 2019 by Lindsay, posted in poetry

Spring is late
Winter’s suffocation
Lingers into April
No daffodils to be seen
NYC bound
The bus rolls onward
And everything
Is dead outside

As a plant takes in water, and leaves become full, turning lush green,

   my cheeks grow pink

       from blood pumped by

          my swelling Heart.
